Copenhagen For the “Over 30s”

Sophisticated entertainment and places to go, relax and enjoy life. Sipping one of the best drinks in town, smoking a cigar in a bookstore, going shopping and looking for unique clothes so you can go back home with the perfect Scandi-look.

When you go abroad, you want to visit traditional places, museums and monuments, do something touristy, but also find places to feel comfortable and at ease with people sharing the same lifestyle, tastes and interests. The young generation, for example, would not enjoy the clubs attended by true gentlemen having refined drinks or great craft beer, visiting contemporary art exhibitions or going shopping for Scandinavian design pieces or vintage garments… but adults would.

Here’s a list of events and attractions for the “over 30s” crowd.

Strøm Bar

One of the best cocktail bars in town and included in the 50 Best Bars in the World. Right in the centre, underground (just by fact), being a few steps below the road level.

If you want to go back home with the right clothes and show off a wonderful Scandi-look, Illum offers Danish and Swedish brands like Sand, Acne or Day Birger Et Mikkelsen.

The Library Bar

Ultra-classic ambience for true gentlemen at the Copenhagen Plaza Hotel. Comfortably sit in one of the Chesterfield armchairs to listen to the piano and browse through the books available in the room, sipping a fine distilled liquor.

A second-hand shop offering vintage clothes from the seventies and eighties – including accessories, rock band T-shirts and unique jewellery.

American-Danish brewpub serving an authentic Texas Barbecue, with 22 American-Danish beers, and some beers specially created for by brewing guests.

Den Frie Center of Contemporary Art

Center for Contemporary Art dedicated to emerging artists, founded in 1898 by a group of artists and still self-managed today.

Nørrebro Bryghus

A small brewery/bar/restaurant run by award-winning brewer Anders Kissmeyer. A few draught beers and a gourmet kitchen offering a three-course set menu perfectly paired with the right beer.

Opening times for shops Shops are normally open from 10 am until 6 pm. On weekends they close earlier, at 4 pm.
Happy hour Many bars in the city offer happy hour at 5.00 pm, where you can get two drinks for the price of one.
