The Michelangelo Restaurant is a true restaurant, not a stopgap before the gate. It is located overlooking the runaways and offers an à la carte menu and several tasting menus for customers who want to take it easy, and quick ones, specifically created for busy schedules. It’s an anthology of Italian cuisine, from raw shrimp to fregola sarda pasta. A dish of the week is served in 8 minutes, a hamburger in 12 minutes and a daily menu in 40 minutes. All you need is just a sandwich? Head to Panino Giusto, a quality chain also found all over Milan.
At Malpensa, superb coffee can be found at the Café of starred chef Davide Oldani. If you want to have pizza, there is RossoPomodoro; for traditional Parma cold cuts, Gourmè, which opened a space at the airport and offers great Parma ham sandwiches; while for a true Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP, there is the Obikà Mozzarella Bar, preparing dishes, sandwiches, salads and desserts exclusively made with Italian, high quality products. To end with a dessert, there is Venchi, for a delicious chocolate ice cream.
Bergamo based ELAV brewery, one of the most established in Italy and renowned internationally, offers 25 craft beers (for takeaway, too) ranging from blonde to dark seasonal ones, of which a selection of 10 are also available as draught beers, accompanied by artisan breads, focaccia, and snacks.
